A Thanksgiving Reflection
Thursday December 1, 2016

by CEO and Physical Therapist Troy Vander Molen, PT, DPT

It has already been over 18 months since we announced that we were changing our business name from Work Systems, our identity since the business originated in 1998, to Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy.

On Friday the 13th in March of 2015, our announcement was made with this important detail: “Kinetic Edge more wholly communicates the variety of proven services we offer that help people move better, feel better, and function better.” In fact, I invited people to join us on our journey, our “movement… [which] is about not being complacent with your current reality.”

In March of 2015, we challenged people to join us if they wanted to feel better and function better. In the middle of the perfect healthcare storm, we encouraged others to experience with us a life transformed and a hope restored.

Over the long Thanksgiving weekend, I reflected on many blessings, and again I was awash with gratitude. I am grateful because God continues to bless us through you.

Given that we have existed for nearly two decades as an organization, our year-after-year growth can be difficult to project. We are certainly no longer a newborn. We are quickly moving from adolescence to adulthood, and in maturity growth is usually quite modest. That is what makes 2016 so gratifying.

We have experienced 22% growth in 2016 compared to 2015! That’s 22% more lives transformed. 22% more people with hope restored!

Over the years we have learned that every business experiences its own level of success as a result of its ability to develop relationships. Kinetic Edge is no different. We don’t fulfill our mission, we will not realize our vision, and we cannot exercise our passion without you! You give us meaning and purpose.

Thank you for placing your trust in the Kinetic Edge team and for joining our movement. We are blessed because of you. Thank you for jumping on our boat in the middle of your health care storm. And thank you for helping us exercise our passions and use our gifts in meaningful service!
