There is no higher priority to us at Kinetic Edge than the health and safety of our clients. We are actively and closely monitoring the coronavirus situation, and we are working hard to stay on top of this evolving situation.
As you are aware, the world health community continues to monitor closely the emergence of the virus named “coronavirus disease 2019” (COVID-19). The health, safety and well-being of our community is always of utmost importance to us, and we know that many of you may have concerns with the recent outbreak of COVID-19 coronavirus. We hope that this information will help address those concerns.
We encourage all who are feeling well to maintain their therapy plan of care and continue attending their appointments as scheduled so that you can continue to do the work to feel better and function better as quickly as possible. However, we encourage anyone who is sick or has a cough, fever, or other symptoms to stay home and not to attend their therapy appointments. Please contact us to work on rescheduling your appointments.
We recognize this is an emerging and rapidly evolving situation. Please be assured that Kinetic Edge is continuing to take proactive measures to support the health and welfare of our clients, our team members, and our communities (see below), including increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, door handles, exercise equipment, balls and all surfaces.
If the CDC and/or the Iowa Department of Health provide updated guidance, we will take appropriate action and communicate those plans via our website and through any other relevant communication channels.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
The CDC recommends taking the following preventative actions to lessen the spread of viruses:
- Stay home if you or a family member is sick. Call us to reschedule any appointments you must miss as a result.
- Please wash your hands when you enter our clinic, while you are here, and when you leave. Fun fact: humming the happy birthday song twice (about 20-30 seconds) is a great way to make sure you’re washing long enough.
- When using hand sanitizer, make sure it contains at least 60% alcohol. Be sure to get enough to fully wet your hands, and you’ll notice it takes about 20 seconds for it to fully dry.
- If you are experiencing a fever and/or shortness of breath, give your medical office a call to determine if you need medical care.
- Cover your mouth with your upper arm or a tissue when coughing or sneezing.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
WHAT KINETIC EDGE IS DOING
- Kinetic Edge has ample spaces to wash hands and use hand sanitizer for when you enter and leave our facility.
- We will continue to uphold our routine cleaning schedules performed by both our team members and professional cleaning services. Being a health clinic, we strive to keep our spaces clean for our team members and clients. We will forever continue this practice.
Please remember we have a 24-hour cancellation policy for all scheduled appointments, and we will do all that we can to help re-book your appointment for a different time to help you manage your evolving schedule. Our goal is transform your life and restore hope through movement!
